“How To Series”: Cookie Cutter Approach To Making Money Online

Article by Danny Fortune

In this article I will outline a simple yet effective and sure fire method for making money online easily and with little technical know-how or effort required. I call this my “cookie cutter” approach to making money online from home. If you want to find out how to make money online easily and quickly and how to start earning a full time income online then keep reading. This method is simple. It is easy, but not without its challenges. But if you follow the script, apply the suggestions I recommend and use the appropriate internet tools you will make money with this system. Today, and every day you implement it.

Here is your cookie cutter approach to earning an income online.

Step 1: Find A Niche. There are many niches to choose from including weight loss, credit repair, stop smoking, wart removal, dog training and how to make wine to name but just a few, other than how to make money itself. Select the niche that interests you, research it properly and thoroughly in order to identify the most effective keywords for your business and start your business building process.

Step 2: Set Up A Sales Funnel. A sales funnel includes a high-converting squeeze page, an autoresponder with the appropriate series of emails already loaded into it to be delivered to your prospect list for your chosen niche, a website with the appropriate and relevant content for your chosen niche, a thank you page to deliver your product, and a freebie to entice your visitors to provide you with their name and email address which begins the entire process rolling.

Step 3: Create Your Website. Choose your domain name, set up your hosting account, obtain and load the necessary messages into your autoresponder which will “drip feed” your prospects until they buy from you. Test your site to see it works properly, sign up from your own opt-in page (squeeze page) to make sure that the emails start being delivered correctly to your inbox. Check out your squeeze page and thank you page to make sure they do what they are supposed to do and that there are no glitches or bugs in the system. Configure the pages properly and everything will work as it is supposed to work, thereby ensuring that you automated system is fully functional. Once you confirm that each page is doing what it is designed to do, you can rest assured that any subscribers optiing into your squeeze page will be served properly and receive the drip sessions that will convert them into buyers.

Step 4: Load Your Website With Appropriate And Fresh Content. Load up your website with appropriate and relevant content that will keep your visitors coming back regularly. You can set up an RSS feed that will automate the process of delivering fresh content to your site on a pre-determined basis as and when you decide. Find appropriate keyword-rich articles that will act as honey to visitors and impart a “stickiness” to your site thereby almost forcing them to return regularly and often. If your chosen niche is how to train dogs then you should find several articles that talk about that topic and use them as anchors in your site. Keeping your site current and fresh will rank you high in the Search Engines which will then result in people finding your site easier than other sites.

Step 5: Monetize Your Site With AdSense, Amazon, Paydocom, And Clickbank Programs And Items. Search the major sites like Amazon, Clickbank, and Paydotcom and select one or more affiliate programs that are part of your niche or genre and get the appropriate links or banner ad codes which you will install into your blog or site. Get an account with AdSense or even eBay and set up a widget of products in your site that will link through your affiliate program link to those other sites, and when visitors either click on the banner ads, the text ads, or actually buy the product, you will earn a commission.

Step 6: Develop Backlinks To Your Site. There are many methods of developing backlinks to your site including being involved in ad swaps with others, guest blogging on other’s blogs, posting comments on online forums and chat rooms, publishing an ezine or newsletter and offering exchanges with others doing the same, and many other similar methods that will generate a growing number of backlinks to your blog or site,. The more backlinks that you accumulate, the better that the Search Engines like your site, and the higher they rank it in the Alexa ratings, thereby giving you more and more targeted traffic and exposure over time.

Step 7: Optimize Your Blog or Site For Search Engines. Use keyword-rich articles in your blog or site. Publish links to other more popular sites. Allow guest bloggers to post comments. Post comments on their sites. Link yours to theirs. Post comments in online forums. Particpate in ad swaps. Start JV initiatives. The list is almost endless. Step 8: Drive Traffic to Your Site. This step involves driving traffic to your blog or site and there are many ways to do that effectively. The more targeted traffic you drive to your site, the more sales you will make through either the click-through action of visitors, or the actual purchases of products from your affiliate links contained in your site. Some of the more well-known ways to drive traffic to your site is to submit articles to Article Directories, purchase ezine ads, purchase solo ads in safelists with a large circulation or membership list, buying ad swaps with others, using banner ads, issuing a Press Release and writing a Product Review report.

There you have it. My cookie-cutter approach to making money online every time you use the system. The only thing you need do to increase your income is to “rinse and repeat”. In other words, once you finish your first website and it is operating effortlessly, select another niche and repeat the process. Again. And again. Over time you will have many self-automated and self operating niche websites in full bloom earning you a passive and residual income month after month after month. And that is a system that can’t be beat.

If you’ve been having a look through Internet Marketing forums or browsing Google and have been asking yourself, “what is affiliate marketing”, this article will explain just exactly what it’s all about and why it’s a good idea to get started with this form of IM if you want to make some money online. It basically all comes down to some concepts to do with Internet Marketing that will decide just how well traffic converts, meaning just how well people who visit your website or webpage actually become customers. By the end of this article, you will know whether Affiliate Marketing is for you or not, as well as how to start making money with Affiliate Marketing.

What Is Affiliate Marketing

There are people online who are trying to sell products online, but simply don’t have the sort of money to advertise their products themselves. Instead, what they can do is recruit affiliates – people who promote products – for a cut of the revenue as soon as they make the sale. Affiliates basically do all the hard work and the vendor/product owner simply has to make it as easy as possible for the affiliate to do their job.

Now, I might say that it’s “hard work”, but that’s only relative to the vendor; in reality, selling a product that’s already established and is proven to sell is a lot wiser than creating your own product, where you may not be sure about the market, sure about your offer or even sure about your product! A lot of people try to take short cuts, throw up a lousy product and to trick affiliates into doing all the work for them while they kick back and wait for the money to come in.

People who work well with affiliates know that you have to make it as easy as possible for them to make the sale, otherwise they won’t even bother. If they’re serious about making money, they will make it so that even if you send “cold” traffic towards their website, this will still convert to some extent and put more money back into your pocket. “Cold” traffic basically refers to people who see a webpage and didn’t have some intention of buying in the first place.

How To Make Money With Affiliate Marketing

So, how do you go about finding the best offers where vendors know how to look after their affiliates and make making sales a piece of cake? There are a few ways, but a good way to start off is by familiarizing yourself with affiliate networks, or places where heaps of vendors promote their products to you to promote. It’s like a marketplace for affiliates, where people try to find products that they can make a commission from. Online marketplaces like Clickbank or Commission Junction are good examples and they each have their own measures that gauge how well individual vendors’ offers convert. For example, look out for a metric called “Gravity” on Clickbank to see the weighted average number of affiliates who make a sale at any given time for an offer.

Hopefully that clears up any questions you might have. If you’re still asking yourself, “what is affiliate marketing”, by all means keep learning about it, but remember to take action eventually and to go out and make some money!

Can a hard-working, grown man survive on spending only a week on food? You may be surprised. Thinking to myself as I left the local Aldi’s grocery store with a shopping cart full of a month’s groceries, I realized my last shopping trip was the day before the last holiday, exactly 4 weeks ago. However to be fair, after the couple times I had eaten out during that span, the average comes out to more like 25 dollars a week to eat. Living on my own has made me look at ways to save money on the food bill.

Shop at Aldi’s or at other grocery stores that sell generic brands of groceries cheap. Aldi’s stores sell a generic brand of food for, in most situations, a lower price. The flip side is, a knowledge of the groceries offered is needed to develop a sense of what you can deal with and what you cannot tolerate. Occasional wood in the spinach or small crumbly fish bones in the tuna for example may not bother you. On the other hand, for example, I do not buy their toasted oats cereal because of my personal taste preferences.

Shop for variety with a strong focus on price: Although price is the main focus, price cannot be the only focus while shopping. Eating only corn flakes because they are cheapest will drive anyone crazy. Be willing to pay a few pennies more on groceries in order to attain variety. The cheaper hamburgers taste downright awful because they are from a poor cut of beef, making the higher quality hamburgers worth paying an extra dollar for. Buy the occasional treat. A box of cookies, can of fruit, or other food that you really like goes a long way in keeping your eating enjoyable without breaking the bank.

Mix foods in order to maximize flavor and appeal: Know what shortcuts you can get away with. For example, with oatmeal, one teaspoon of maple syrup gives the oatmeal flavor, but adding a tablespoon of cheap white sugar eliminates the need to use a lot of maple syrup for sweetness. Plain bran flakes cereal gets bland fast. Mixing three parts of bran flakes with one part sweet cereal (usually Honey Crunch and Oats, a frosted flakes cereal with almonds) makes the bran flakes appealing.

Focus hard on price per pound when shopping: You don’t want to be buying 12 oz boxes of food when the 1 pound boxes for ten cents more have a lower price per pound. Item prices can be confusing but the unit price is tied to a consistent unit of measurement, giving you a better idea of the actual food cost.

Remember to eat healthy: There is no sense in compromising your health to keep the food bill down. If you have to live off peanut butter and jelly, buying wheat or whole grain breads are a healthy alternative to white bread. Rice is a cheap food, and can be flavored using extra ramen noodle flavor packages. (Usually a seasoning package is enough to flavor two Ramen soup packages.) Buy vegetables and don’t forget to buy meats (or other suitable foods if you are vegetarian.) Pasta, canned pasta soups, and the like are cheap but should not be your only staple food. It is worth paying a few extra dollars for a healthier variety in your food.

Don’t pay for beverages: Notice subway and other restaurants give free refills on their sodas? It’s probably running them only a nickel per refill. For 95 cents, one can of juice concentrate makes 1.5-3 liters (roughly a third to three quarters of a gallon) of juice mix. (The can says it makes 1.42L but the individual’s tolerance to watering down the juice plays into the equation.) Evaporated milk is the cheapest way to acquire milk. Soda, bottled water and pre-mixed juice bottles are more expensive. The quality of the city’s water supply and the individual’s tolerance of tap water plays a part; a water filter can be bought but will need replacement cartridges.

Eat at home and pack lunches: Prepared foods, snacks, and bought lunches are generally a lot more expensive than if you cooked the food at home or packed a lunch.

Don’t throw away food: Take the care to not have food spoil and eat leftovers. Leftovers can be used in cooking to make good tasting dishes or just simply warmed up and eaten. Food left over from yesterday’s cooking can be a relief when you don’t have to cook when tired from work.

Accept all free food: If a friend offers you food to have, accept. Many times, people will give away food free rather than see it go to waste. It’s possible to ask for food that is otherwise going to go to waste without looking like a beggar. “Oh I could take that if you’re just going to be throwing it away.” The key is being very casual and acting like it doesn’t matter if you get the free food or not.

Grow food in the garden: If you have a place to grow food (garden, patio pot, town-owned community garden, friend willing to let you grow food,) then for a minimal investment you can grow your own food. Information on growing vegetables can be obtained for free from the Internet or from books at your local library. Although seeds can be obtained for free from the vegetables you buy in the store, seed bought in pre-packaged seed packets is sure to sprout and in most cases produce a tastier crop. Herbs can also be grown if you like using herbs in cooking. Perennial herbs such as mint, oregano, thyme and chives only need to be purchased once and grow every year.

Forage for food: If you are a hunter, know your hunting seasons and go hunting. Learn what weeds, wild plants, nuts and fruits are edible and forage for them. Gather wild fruits, berries, grapes, and nuts. Make sure you are absolutely sure that the plant is what you think it is before eating it. Ask a knowledgeable friend about what’s edible or look up the plants in more than one book, preferably books with color photos to identify the plants.

So by employing these methods and tips, you will be able to keep the food bill lower. Depending on the season and also your luck, you may actually pay less than for food in a week.
